Fans of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” are lining up for “Ferris Fest”

The 30th anniversary of the unforgettable movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is coming up this June, and longtime fans of the film know that there’s only one way to celebrate: a really big party. Specifically, a three-day festival called “Ferris Fest” happening from May 20-22 in Chicago.

Officially titled Ferris Fest: A 30th Anniversary Leisure Weekend, the website describes the celebration as “a special weekend event that will feature a screening of the movie in a uniquely John Hughes-centric spot with stars of the film in attendance for a special Q&A, a tour of all the filming locations, musical guests and more!”

There are also some can’t-miss events that would make Ferris Bueller proud, like a viewing of an exact replica of Ferris’s room, as well as a live recreation of the famous “Twist and Shout” parade scene.
