Fergie opened up about dating again after her split from Josh Duhamel

While we just heard the sad news the other day, Fergie has been separated from Josh Duhamel for quite a bit longer. Otherwise, we’d think this question would have been kinda-sorta inappropriate. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Fergie was asked if she’d consider dating anytime soon, and we’re pretty happy with her response.

The singer married Duhamel back in 2009, so the two had been together for quite awhile. That’s why news of their split, which officially happened in February, took us by surprise. The good news is that the two still seem to be friendly with each other.

"We're great friends, we love each other so much, and it just got to the point where it was getting a little weird. There's no perfect time so we just decided to do it," she said to People.

As you can see, she still talks about Duhamel in a flattering light.

But later in the show, when Andy Cohen asked her about moving on, her answer was honest.

"I don't know," she replied. "It's too soon for me to even think about dating. I'm open to love but it's just too soon."

We totally get where she’s coming from — and by mentioning Duhamel (and his movies) so positively, we have no doubt that there’s a ton of love and respect still there.

The good news is, according to Fergie herself, she still had a blast on the show — even when having to chat about topics like her love life.
