“The Princess Bride” Gets a Hashtag Makeover
After Time Magazine published a poll of words that should be banned and included “feminist” on the list, Canadian writer Anne Thériault tweeted:
She then started tweeting feminist takes on classic PB quotes (i.e. “Have fun storming the patriarchy!”) and the hashtag #feministprincessbride was born. No really, check out some of these awesomely funny tweets. Personal favorite: “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You denied my mother equal pay. Prepare to be on the wrong side of history.”
