RuPaul is definitely the queen of the drag empire. In only its third year, his convention attracted thousands of attendees from all over the world. Held in Los Angeles, RuPaul’s DragCon attendees could meet their favorite RuPaul’s Drag Race personalities while shopping the convention floor and attending panels and shows. The event is now *so* popular an NYC DragCon will be held this fall.
Rupaul’s Drag Race is now in its 9th season, but Ru is no stranger to television. For almost 30 years, RuPaul has paved the way in terms of LGBTQ talent in the entertainment industry. It is only fitting that he started a convention to celebrate it!
