Our favorite celebrities are banding together to speak out against gun violence

After the deaths of 14 people in San Bernardino, there have now been 353 mass shootings in the United States in 2015 and today is only the 345th day of the year. If this figure should remain unchanged, we will have seen an average of about six shootings per week in 2015.

But a new year is just around the corner and there’s ample opportunity for us to make 2016 the year that we finally put an end to gun violence in the United States.

With Arcade Fire’s “Rebellion (Lies)” ringing in the background, anti-gun violence organization Everytown for Gun Safety has created “We can end gun violence,” a moving, celebrity-heavy call for us to end this epidemic.

Released on Wednesday, the video features big names like actors Julianne Moore, Sofia Vergara, and Kevin Bacon and comedy greats, including Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Sarah Silverman, Adam Scott, and Amy Schumer, who made headlines this year after launching an initiative to end gun violence alongside her cousin, Senator Chuck Schumer. Speaking of politicians, there’s a very, very special cameo by one Commander-In-Chief. Check out the video below:
