Our very fave Wes Anderson characters, illustrated
We love a good Wes Anderson movie: The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, bring them all on. Everything in his movies from the characters to the costumes to the perfectly placed props is irresistibly quirky. Bellhop couture? Foxes that double as J. Crew models? Count us in. Come to think of it, the only thing we could possibly love more than a good Wes Anderson movie is an adorable sketch of said Wes Anderson movie.
So naturally, when we came across these illustrations by artist Alejandro Giraldo, we immediately fell in love and had to have them all. Giraldo sketched headshots of all our favorite Wes Anderson characters, from Margot Tenenbaum to Steve Zissou, and even the director himself. He also illustrated some of the films’ most popular quotes.
The sketches are simple enough — every character has their eyes closed, and is composed of two or three colors max — but their personalities shine through. Check out some of our favorites below! We will be purchasing these baddies stat.
