I grew up with super strict parents, so I missed out on a lot of ’90s trends. Getting a belly button ring, wearing brown lipstick, and waxing my eyebrows into impressively thin arches were all off limits for me. And while I’m glad I was saved from the eyebrow massacre, I’m still bitter about not being able to wear tube tops. Don’t act like you didn’t want to copy Britney Spears, too. Well, I’m all grown up now, and the sleeveless shirts are back. So there’s nothing my mom can do to stop me now.

Stars like Demi LovatoOlivia Culpo, and Bella Hadid are just a few of the names that are rooting for the tube top’s comeback. Forget about all of the stigma associated with the shoulder-baring tops. Now, tube tops are being styled in a much more sophisticated way: underneath suits and over button-down shirts. And they’re also designed in longer silhouettes, too.

So don’t be shy. Right now, is the perfect time for you to test out a modernized version of the tube top, too. And you can start by browsing our favorite ones below.
