This gold kale bracelet costs $1400, but it's for a great cause if you've got the coin
Dark green, leafy veggies are totally our jam, so when we ran across this gold kale bracelet, it sounded like the perfect way to display our undying love of food and accessories. According to Eater, this most expensive accessory can glisten on your wrist for $1400. We know, we know: You’ve got that bulging eyeball look going on, but the steep price is actually for a great cause.
Joan Hornig Jewelry will give the proceeds of the 18K gold kale-inspired cuff to Recipe for Success, a charitable non-profit organization founded in 2005 with the mission of changing the way children eat by teaching them the ins and outs of growing and eating healthy foods.
Now, if your bank account is better equipped to handle a manicure with kale nail polish, we’re sending a non-judgmental nod of understanding your way. But for those of you who have the dolla dolla bills to drop on this beautiful bracelet, behold your next statement piece in all its golden glory:
So, are you itching the pair this bracelet with your trusty ol’ Kale sweatshirt? We totally get it. Although all these kale pieces were purchased by attendees at a New York City event earlier this week, you can still special order them by contacting Recipe for Success.
Luckily for those who have heart eyes for veggies and charity, the Joan Hornig Jewelry collection also includes organically-themed charms, cufflinks, earrings, pendants and rings. Prices start at $50 and pieces will be available for purchase Spring 2017 through the foundation’s website.
