The designer greats imparted a great deal of sartorial wisdom to us this spring/summer 2018 New York Fashion Week. If we had to pick just one takeaway from this season, however, it wouldn’t pertain to clothing at all. It’d be about putting our best foot forward in one of the many, many jaw-dropping NYFW shoes.

We’ll put it this way: if Carrie Bradshaw existed IRL, she’d be at a shoe-a-holics anonymous meeting right now. Because there is no possible way she’d have been able to part NYFW without picking up every single pair of shoes in sight (bless those see-now-buy-now runways). Yeah, they’re that good.

Whilst ogling over every single pair of NYFW shoes we could find, we discovered a few breakout trends in the fold. It goes without saying that glitter shoes are all the rage right now. Plus, white kicks are proving uberpopular (called it), as are color-blocked shoes. Of course, we can’t overlook the killer statement boots or sunny yellow shoes that are making waves either.

Like most shopping scenarios, there’s good news and there’s not-so-good-news. The bad news is that you’ll be tempted to mortgage your house looking at all these glorious shoes. The good news is that it’s free to look. Now go ahead, peruse, and fill that shoe-shaped hole in your heart.
