PUMA is teaming up with some huge celebrities to create to-die-for sneaker lines. We are eating up Rihanna’s Fenty X PUMA line. Kylie Jenner released her amazing Puma Fierce sneakers back in April. And now, Cara Delevingne is sporting PUMA’s “Basket Heart” sneaker, which is a new take on one of their classic designs. And, needless to say, we’re loving every bit of these sneaks.
Yesterday, the former supermodel posted a picture of her new fave PUMAs on Instagram. Delevingne captioned the pic, “My latest crush: the #Basket from @pumasportstyle @puma.” With those cute AF ribbon laces, and perfectly simple white shade, we’re crushing hard too.
On PUMA’s website, the new Basket Heart style is described as being a throwback to the OG “Basket” sneaker design. “In the ’60s, the Basket was one of several PUMA warm-up shoes to declare a new era on the basketball court,” the website states.
The description continues, “The Basket scored through many a practice round and pick up game and was later adopted by the hip hop scene – turning those swift basket dunks to funky funk beats and transforming an everyday court classic into the most debonair of pop culture legends.”
The upgraded version of the classic Basket, the Basket Heart Patent Women’s Sneakers, go for $85. Add them to your holiday wish list ASAP, because we have a feeling these might be the new “it” sneaker.
This design also comes in synthetic black patent leather. And, if you’re willing to drop a few more bucks, you can also grab the Basket Heart in a pastel shade with suede accents for $100.
Cara Delevingne was made the new face of PUMA’s “Do You” women’s campaign back in September. She is now mainly promoting the Basket Hearts. Check out her promo video below:
