Shailene Woodley's beaded choker is bringing us right back to the '90s
We’re crazy for fall’s hottest neck trend: chokers. Not only do they make us seem taller, they also remind us of the ’90s (which is never a bad thing). And, let’s be honest, they make us feel both witchy and like we’re the star of that creepy children’s story about the girl whose ribbon choker prevented her head from falling off (Halloween costume idea?).
The latest celeb to join this Instatrend is one of our favorite politically aware celebrities, Shailene Woodley. Not only is she having a socially conscious summer, she’s also hoping to return for the final Divergent film! And now, she’s the newest member of the choker quad.
Shai appeared on The Tonight Show to promote her new film, Snowden, in this gorgeous tangerine gown and chunky emerald shoes.
But the true star of the show was this gorgeous beaded choker.
An even closer look?
The choker looks to be inspired by Native American designs, and knowing Shailene, it may actually be a piece of handmade Native American-made jewelry. Shailene has been a constant advocate for the rights of Native peoples, as evidenced by her protest of the Dakota Pipeline earlier this summer. Joining a group of activists in solidarity, Shai spoke about her passion for protecting Native American rights:
Keep fighting the good fight, Shailene!
