Just when we thought the naked dress trend had gone ta-ta, Selena Gomez brought it back in full force. And, yes, she reminded us why it caught on in the first place.

The 25 year old turned more than a few heads at the 2017 Business of Fashion 500 Gala in New York City this weekend, putting her best foot forward in a subtle see-through design. Crafted by the designer greats at Rodarte, the dreamy nude dress featured dainty asymmetrical sleeves, supple ruffles, and a deep neckline. Most notable, however, were ethereal floral appliques and delicate embroidery, which turned this otherwise glamorous gown into an infinitely more romantic design.

Oh la la.

Black briefs slipped under this delicate design reinforced that the naked dress trend is alive and well, and with stars like Selena to do it justice, it’s likely here to stay.

Assembled by Selena’s trusty fashion stylist, Kate Young, the retro-glamorous look poured out nothing but pure sophistication. The lack of jewelry made the dress work even harder, and a striking berry lip, full brows, and bouncy lob were the perfect complements to the classic look. A black Tod’s Double-T clutch topped off the elegant ensemble.

Selena’s been making the rounds at New York Fashion Week in between takes on her latest project, a yet-to-be-titled Woody Allen picture that also stars Elle Fanning and Jude Law. Earlier this week, we even caught her and boyfriend The Weeknd making their second red carpet appearance together, with Selena once again rocking it in a mod pink Valentino dress.

Hopefully for us, Selena’s extended stay in NYC means she’ll have at least a few more stunning red carpet appearances in the cards this week. Because Gomez is nothing short of red carpet gold, and we live for her and her glam squad’s killer work.
