Just one day after we reported that Rihanna might be coming out with a line of Fenty sunglasses, we seem to have gotten an answer…kind of. WWD reports that RiRi is teaming up with the world’s biggest luxury fashion group, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, to develop her very own high fashion brand.
To put into perspective how major that is, it would be CEO Bernard Arnault’s first time launching a fashion house from scratch since Christian Lacroix (!) in 1987 (!). Apparently, LVMH has already assembled a team for Rihanna’s upcoming high fashion house, hand-picking internal employees who worked on brands like Louis Vuitton and Celine.
The brand will supposedly include everything from ready-to-wear to leather goods and accessories, and could be released as early as later this year, around the same time as her upcoming ninth album.
Between music, makeup, fashion, and accessories, 2019 is already shaping up to be an incredible year for Rihanna—and a brutal year for our wallets.
