Ralph Lauren launched a collection inspired by former fictional employee Rachel Green
Say what you want about Rachel Green, but her Friends character is just as timeless as those one-liners we can’t stop quoting. And while over the 10 seasons of the show’s lifespan, she evolves through hairstyles, boyfriends, and jobs (including her bumpy rise to power at Ralph Lauren), one thing remained constant: her iconic style.
Now, we can all channel our inner Rachel because Ralph Lauren released a curated collection to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Friends. And of course, to commemorate the role the brand played in Rachel’s fictional career trajectory.
Tailored wool blazers, turtlenecks, skirts, and boots comprise the collection, which includes pieces from both the Polo and Lauren by Ralph Lauren lines. But these aren’t the kind of clothes you’d wear to grab a cup of joe at Central Perk. The wear-to-work collection may be as classic as Monica’s yellow peephole frame, but it’s definitely not as cheap as her massive NYC apartment.
While there are some reasonably priced basics, some of the more elevated pieces are a bit of splurge. But honestly, if you’re on the fence about needing those beautiful, classic black booties, just think: What would Rachel do?
Tie-Neck Knit Sweater
This relaxed sweater is the perfect fall wardrobe staple.
Suede Medium Bellport Tote
We can totally see Rachel carrying this on her arm.
Pleated Wool-Blend Miniskirt
This bright skirt is as bold as Rachel herself.
Cotton Turtleneck Sweater
This turtleneck is the kind of quality basic that never goes out of style.
Bullion-Patch Corduroy Blazer
You can’t not look cool in corduroy.
Wool-Blend Sweater Vest
Sweater vests give us all the ’90s nostalgia.
Welford Leather Bootie
These black booties will make just about any outfit look polished.
These pieces may take inspiration from the carefree, nostalgia-evoking times of the ‘90s, but its safe to say that they’ll “be there for you” long past fleeting fashion fads. Simply put: the Ralph Lauren x Friends collection really is timeless.
