If you’ve browsed the style section, you’ve undoubtedly come across the name and face of Anna Wintour. Known for her trademark bob and oversized sunglasses, Anna Wintour is the editor-in-chief of Vogue. This week she was appointed Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for her services to fashion and journalism. The ceremony took place at Buckingham Palace.

Check out this snazzy pic her daughter snapped at the ceremony.

What did Anna Wintour wear to meet the royal matriarch? A matching pink Chanel coat and dress, of course.

Anna joined American Vogue in 1988. She turned the publication into the world’s top fashion magazine. Before Vogue, she worked at Harper’s Bazaar US, British Vogue, and House and Garden magazine. In 2013, Conde Nast named her the artistic director.

Seriously, how many titles can one woman collect?

Oh right! She also raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute by throwing an annual fundraiser. Maybe you’ve heard of it? It’s a little event called the Met Gala. It’s where, most recently, Rihanna legitimately stopped the show.

Can you guess how much the fashion icon has raised over the years? Roughly $150 million dollars!

If you want Anna to hire you, you’d better be fierce!

Anna is widely assumed to have been the inspiration behind the character, Miranda Priestly, in The Devil Wears Prada. Anna’s former personal assistant, Lauren Weisberger, penned the novel. Meryl Streep starred in the film and brought Miranda to life.

We salute you, Anna. Your continuing reign as editor-in-chief, fashion legend, and most recent royal appointment are giving us major #lifegoals.
