Self-identified insomniac, Mike Parisella, is about to become your new favorite artist. Parisella, who goes by “slimesunday” online, is a digital artist known for his surreal collages on Instagram. Parisella just released a new series of portraits of women that we are obsessed with. The acid-colored portraits invoke a ’70’s vibe by using mixed media and double exposure techniques with the artist’s signature surrealism.

The 24-year-old artist spends most of his time on his computer and online posting on social media. (He has almost 90,000 followers for a reason!) Hard to believe when you look at his work, but Parisella didn’t start making digital visual art until he joined Instagram a few years ago. He credits his interest in music as inspiration to start creating. In an interview in August 2015, he explained, “This may sound a little crazy but truthfully, the birth of my art originated after hearing Skrillex’s track First Of the Year (Equinox) a few years back. I think it was the first time I really thought “damn, computers are insane!” He continued, “I was fascinated by Skrillex’s implementation of computer software and just out of curiosity, I bought some software to try and figure out how he created those sounds.”

Luckily for us, he eventually started visualizing his work and created @slimesunday.

Below are some of my favorites from his new series.
