We never thought a situation would ever happen where we’d actually want a bite of a pair of shoes, but thanks to Nike, it’s happening.

Behold, for Nike has created a new shoe inspired by chicken and waffles. The SB Dunk High Premium Waffle, dubbed “soul food for your feet,” strangely really does look like chicken and waffles with a drizzle of syrup. And look at the cute little chicken detail inside the shoe!

“Legend has it that the favorite meal of a number of Nike SB [skateboarding] pros is the hearty and comforting dish, Chicken and Waffles,” Nike explains. “That was all the design team needed to hear before sparking up the grill and creating a wearable culinary masterpiece.”

There was some serious initial concern that the savory breakfast shoe was actually an elaborate April Fool’s prank. News of the design broke just prior to the liars holiday, and as the sale date was April 2, people were naturally a little wary of this Frankenstein mishmash of munchies and arch support. But thankfully, the high-top sneaker launched as promised on April 2 at select retailers nationwide, including Nike.com, and retails for about $110. The shoe is already shaping up to be the most-wanted sneaker of the year, according to NikeBlog.

So now you can sport your very own chicken and waffle sneakers while eating chicken and waffles. You could even design a waffle Snapchat filter and then video yourself eating chicken and waffles while wearing the shoes. Honestly, the possibilities are endless. And all will be right in the world. Or at least on your feet and in your mouth.
