An interesting trend was noted at the SAG Awards on Sunday. As we expected, our favorite celebrities dazzled in some truly amazing fashion. But many of these SAG Awards dazzlers wore a trend Mother Nature herself is claiming to have started – “the nature trend.”
Now, we know what you’re thinking. Nature has been around since the beginning of time. It’s certainly not just now a fashion trend. Yes, we are aware of that. But one must admit that having so many nature-themed gowns on one red carpet does spike interest. Did Mother Nature send a little birdie to stylists and celebrities about wearing flora and fauna to the SAG Awards? We may never know.
What we do know, however, is that Mother Nature is hanging the following photos on her refrigerator today.
Lion’s Nicole Kidman in this ~amazing~ Gucci sequined parrot dress.
Jane the Virgin star, Gina Rodriguez, wearing a Patricia Bonaldi beaded fauna and flora dress.
The Crown’s Claire Foy in her embroidered floral Valentino number.
La La Land’s Emma Stone in this stunning lingerie-like Alexander McQueen lily pad dress.
Star of Hidden Figures and Empire, Taraji P. Henson, in a sheer Reem Acra princess dress with sparkling floral beading.
Meryl Streep, star of Florence Foster Jenkins, in this white Valentino gown with a silhouetted bird print.
The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco wearing her multicolored cotton candy Marchesa dress with tulle accent flowers and petals.
Janelle Monáe, star of Hidden Figures, in her ruffled black and white Chanel dress.
Although we’re not sure if Mother Nature had a direct say in what stars wore on the SAG Awards red carpet, we do know that this trend is something we can get behind. Especially for those of us who like to think spring, wearing florals — and perhaps the occasional bird pattern — is the perfect way to will the seasons into changing!
