In appreciation of Mickey’s outfits from “Love” Season 2, here’s how you can copy her laid-back style

The incredibly bittersweet Netflix series Love, which is the brainchild of co-creators Paul Rust (who also plays main character Gus), Lesley Arfin (former Girls writer and Rust’s wife), and comedy vet Judd Apatow, is back with its second season. It picks up right where we left off, witnessing the beginnings of a romance between Mickey and Gus, who we can’t help but root for even if their relationship is far from fairytale.

The show has managed to hit the nail on the head when it comes to living and loving in Los Angeles. From weird roommates to chaotic workplaces, there are relatable situations in every episode. And through ups and downs, Mickey, played by our girl crush, Gillian Jacobs, manages to maintain a laid-back style with closet staples such as her buckled winklepickers, denim jacket, and stackable rings and necklaces. Her outfits scream #summerstylegoals.

SPOILER ALERT: Here is a look at all our favorite Mickey style moments in Love Season 2, with tips on how you can recreate them for yourself!

The Beach Day Outfit

Wearing her signature buckled winklepickers (buckled ankle boots) and denim jacket, Mickey paired cropped black jeans with the striped ’70s looking tank top she wore in Season 1. She accessorized with her stacked rings, Silverlake-worthy crystal necklace, and cat-eye sunglasses. She is basically the embodiment of Venice Beach cool.

Black High Waisted Skinny Jeans, $39

1969 Denim Jacket, $51.99

3 Buckle Winklepicker Boots, $82.73

Her Monochrome Business-Casual Outfit

This is by far Mickey’s most mature outfit in either of the seasons. That doesn’t mean she puts aside her cool rocker vibe though — she keeps the ensemble all black and still wears her buckled boots. Mickey abandons her comfy sweaters in favor of a sleek blazer, which mirrors the theme of the entire season: her trying to get her shit together.

Triple Strand Necklace, $9.99

Black Women’s Cotton Crew, $9.99

Missguided Long-line Blazer, $70

Black Bermuda Shorts, $21.99

The Lunch With Dad Combo

Mickey is really excited that he dad is coming to see her. She wears both a pretty dress and a Yankees baseball bomber, both probably to impress her father and because she loves sports-themed jackets. Her excitement is short lived, but our love for this sporty, yet feminine outfit lives on…

NY Yankees Jacket, $64.99

The Work Party Dress

Whenever Mickey is feeling too exposed, she covers up. That’s exactly what happens as the night wears on, when she covers her cocktail dress with a tough exterior — her attitude and her leather jacket.

Quilted Faux Leather Biker Jacket, $60

We love that Mickey has consistent closet staples. Her life is kind of all over the place, but her style is on point!
