Immediately following Kate Spade’s untimely death by suicide at the age of 55, almost all of the her last designs for her most recent venture, Frances Valentine, sold out.

But fans and supporters of the late fashion designer who may not have been able to snag products from her last collection are in luck, because she apparently left quite a bit of work behind. This is according to Spade’s business partner and close friend, Elyce Arons, who co-founded Frances Valentine with Spade, Spade’s husband Andy, and Paola Venturi, in 2015. (Spade stepped away from her eponymous brand in 2007.)

“We don’t know what the future holds for us, but we are determined to continue to make her beautiful work live on through Frances Valentine. We will be stronger for her, more connected to each other through her,” Arons said to Business Insider.

Arons said that Spade has left about four seasons worth of work behind, and an “abundant library of her concepts,” meaning Spade’s legacy—not to mention her signature, joyful aesthetic—will continue to inspire.

“We have been inundated with calls and emails about product, but also about people’s emotional connection to Kate. She was authentic and I think people sensed that and really felt close to her,” Arons added.

Very true indeed.
