It’s still too soon to say what exactly will be the biggest trends of the summer. Will it be a repeat of last year’s t-shirt-as-a-dress phenomenon? More off-the-shoulder ensembles maybe? Corsets over dresses again?

For those of us who are #cozy, sadly the summer marks the end of daily hoodie wear. Goodbye snuggly cotton goodness. So long feels-as-good-as-a-hug outerwear.

Designers are already serving up summertime athleisure in the form of ab baring cropped crewneck sweatshirts, jersey-inspired dresses, and a soon-to-be summer staple — the Karrueche Tran-approved hoodie skirt.

Karrueche looked summertime fine in a cropped Beverly Hills Basketball crewneck sweatshirt, orange tinted aviators, and a hoodie skirt by Pink Baby.

Take a closer look, it’s a play on a hoodie flipped upside down. The ribbed waistband is the hem of the hoodie and the pocket detail is an upside down kangaroo pouch. Pretty clever, right?

You can get the Pink Baby mini skirt on sale right now for 40 bucks, and a matching cropped hoodie for another $40.

If we can learn anything from the Book of Karrueche, summer style and #cozyness can go hand in hand.

Exhibit A: The flannel as the new club jacket.

Exhibit B: The sheer camo jacket.

Exhibit C: The cold shoulder crewneck dress.

Summer’s not the easiest for the #cozy among us, but thankfully we’re more than happy to sweat in the name of our aesthetic.
