Some outfits function as visions of the past, reminding us how tasteful our fashion-forward ancestors were. This was exactly the case with Jenna Dewan Tatum’s gold bedazzled outfit that was posted on Instagram on Sunday, which immediately transported us to the times and style of Cleopatra. The actress and dancer’s extravagant goddess-inspired dress was a form-fitting vision of intricately woven gold and white beads that shimmied when she danced.

She looked as natural as she did glamorous, which is exactly what we’d imagine the last active pharaoh of Ptolemaic Egypt would want. Although we have a feeling that Jenna has less direct influence on the rise of the Roman Empire than Cleopatra. We could be wrong though, we don’t know her life!

This ensemble is the perfect mixture of Cleopatra vibes meets 1920s flapper girl meets Jenna’s own personal style.

Which makes it the ideal outfit for Jenna to skillfully twirl around in on NBC’s World of Dance. Of course, the incredible celebrity hairstylist, Kristin Ess, worked her magic on Jenna’s hair and transformed it into a sleek straight lob.

Even her bright golden eyeshadow, kohl black eyeliner, and straight black hair hearken to the fearless goddess.

The patterned detailing on that dress is truly incredible, particularly how everything falls back into place after moving so fluently.

Look at those shoes! We need them in our closet ASAP!

Brad Goreski styled Jenna’s look, while celebrity manicurist Christina Viles added a golden touch to Jenna’s nails.

Makeup artist Allan Avendeño brought the entire look together with shimmer eyeshadow, pink lips, and bronzed makeup.

Now we know that Jenna’s got a solid Halloween costume option if she chooses to go for it.
