Gigi Hadid wore a top that looks like it was made out of tissue paper
Remember those paper snowflakes you used to make in kindergarten? Well, we’re pretty sure the tissue paper-esque top Gigi Hadid just wore in New York City was inspired by those very creations.
The delicate lace bra top, by designer Jonathan Simkhai, was the fairest shade of blush, and perfectly complemented her cropped Manning Cartell trousers in the same hue. Sadly for all of us, the top is from Simkhai’s Fall 2016 collection, meaning it’s been off the market for some time. The two are friends, though, and Hadid has been seen rocking Simkhai’s pieces on many, many occasions.
Does Gigi not resemble an ethereal fairy angel in this top?
Hadid donned this effortlessly glam look to Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show fittings on Monday, after stirring the internet into a frenzy over whether or not she and her equally gorge sister, Bella, would be walking in the show this year (spoiler: it’s a yes for both).
In fact, to confirm she’s doing the big show in China (held there for the first time ever!), Hadid shared this fab video on Instagram, writing, “every aspect [of the VS Fashion Show] makes me feel like a dreaming kid again.”
Bella, too, confirmed her participation in the show on IG, saying she feels “so crazy humbled to get the opportunity to be a part of this show again. Walking into the offices this year I felt so happy, healthy, and honored. I can’t wait for another incredible experience!”
The sisters will be walking the runway for VS together for the second time (though Gigi walked in the 2015 show, too).
In the meantime, we’ll be borrowing Gigi’s monochromatic blush look for as long as this warm weather remains. We’re no fools, we know winter is coming.
