Rainy days can really put a damper on our energy and will to do anything. But there are so many bright sides to a rainy day, when you think about it. You can stay inside under your favorite blanket, sipping one hot cup of coffee after another, binge-watching Netflix until your eyes dry out. Or, you can whip out that awesome raincoat you’ve been saving for a literal rainy day.

Elle Fanning whipped out her colorful rain jacket at the airport yesterday. The actress traipsed through the Salt Lake City airport, perhaps arriving to attend the Sundance Film Festival. She wore a bright green quilted raincoat. Yellow and blue trim adds some extra pizzaz to the shiny piece of outerwear.

Fanning looks warm and comfy in the oversized jacket. The piece definitely has a vintage 80s or 90s feel to it, so we scoured the internet looking for some super cool and colorful dupes.

We’re loving this 80s reversible vinyl raincoat. Like Fanning’s, this coat sports the green and blue color palette, and the vinyl fabric will definitely keep you drier than dry on a wet day.

This next one goes out to all the ladies who like to take a step outside the mainstream box. This lime green quilted number is definitely not for the faint of heart, but wow — it’s pretty awesome. This look is like Zenon meets Fran Drescher from The Nanny. Honestly, we’re on board.

Interesting and colorful raincoats are easy to find at your local thrift or consignment shop. If you can’t find the vintage look you’re going for in-store, check out Etsy or Depop for other thrifted alternatives.

Finding a raincoat, like Elle Fanning’s, that is fun to wear, will make your rainy days a whole lot more enjoyable.
