Oh my Mickey Mouse! Disney is collaborating with The Gap on clothing — but there's a catch!
Disney fans, rejoice: you don’t need a fairy godmother to find fabulous threads this fall!
According to Teen Vogue, Disney is teaming up with The Gap to release an all-new clothing collection in October, featuring none other than your favorite cartoon couple, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The new line promises to be just as magical as Disney’s recent handbag collaborations with Coach and Danielle Nicole, and wayyy more affordable. (Although let’s be real — most of us are still pining after that Tinkerbell crossbody.)
Offerings will reportedly include super stylish Mickey and Minnie dresses, jackets, sweaters, and jeans. Disney has yet to give us the details, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for a fabulous new take on Minnie’s classic polka dots. One thing’s for sure: ranging in price between $5 and $60, these products are a Fantasmic steal! But unfortunately, there’s one tiny problem.
The goods are available only through babyGap and GapKids! Darn those kids, getting all the best Disney clothes. It’s just not fair. Still, should make for some excellent Christmas shopping this year if you know any little ones.
Persian Fashion reports that the collection will be available online and in stores in the US, the UK, Canada, Japan, and China, with additional holiday specials expected through 2018. While you unfortunately probably won’t be hitting these sales to flesh out your own Disney wardrobe, for now you’ll have to just admire your little Mouseketeer’s cartoon chic. Hopefully with luck and a little bit of pixie dust we’ll see grown-up sizes hitting stores soon!
