There are many things we dream about. As the months grow colder, we find inspiration in cups of cocoa, sweaters, and wintery getaways. Kate Middleton’s Elsa from Frozen-inspired gown, however, is a wintery blue fantasy that’s inspiring us to channel our inner snow queen. While we could do this in a gown half as extravagant as the one Kate chose, that would kind of ruin all the fun. This dress had it all: an interesting silhouette (check the sheer sleeves), plenty of beads, diamonds and baubles, and the perfect blue hue. With a sheer body and a full-length light blue slip underneath, this dress has dimension, and is totally Elsa.

Though Kate wore this dress to the theater, this ensemble could just as easily be worn to a dinner, a ball, or even a date night (because royals have every right to be extra, too). We love that Kate kept this look simple, opting for her shoulder-length hair to be worn in loose curls.

Kate’s makeup look also proves her penchant for classic beauty styles. She wore bronzed eyes, arched brows, and a simple peach lip, helping pull the focus of the look to the dress.

We have a feeling that if Elsa saw this gown, she’d be a fan.

From one queen to another: A blue, sheer gown with plenty of delicious detail is never a bad decision.
