Here's how to copy Cardi B's '90s "In Living Color"-inspired outfit
The video was inspired by and dedicated to the groundbreaking early ’90s sketch comedy TV show “In Living Color,” and references a few other hip-hop moments from the era. We’re feeling TLC and The Fresh Prince vibes, and we’re living for all of the nostalgia. The clip opens with Cardi and Bruno splashing brightly colored paint around as the rapper jumps into her verse. Bruno and a crew of dancers show off some dope throwback moves. It’s a catchy track and Bruno is crazy talented, but as she’s been doing for her last several guest appearances, Cardi steals the show.
The Bronx babe is sitting on top of the world and breaking music biz records left and right, and always remains a fashion inspiration. The new music video is no exception. Cardi’s fit for “Finesse” was put together by her stylist Kollin Carter (@kollincarter), using mostly Jeremy Scott and Moschino pieces. Nineties revival style has been going strong for basically all of the current decade, and it doesn’t show signs of slowing. Neither does Cardi for that matter.
