Blake Lively looks like a bird of paradise in this floral fringe number
Welcome to the age of more is more. Wanna wear that crazy embellished dress with a sequin skirt and bright heels? Go for it! How about a plunging dress with animals all over it? You got it! Celebrities are flocking to the “extra” look, and Blake Lively’s Marchesa dress is the dream look for a lady who wants to wear plenty of trends at once.
This look featured a plunging neckline, sheer cape sleeves, plenty of floral embellishments, and eyelash lace. Oh and fringe — plenty and plenty of multicolored fringe. Blake wore this look to attend Time’s 100 Gala in New York with her husband Ryan Reynolds and we’re still fawning over it.
We love the “grandma chic” trend, and we love how Blake interpreted it even more. We can’t tell if she should be starring in a silent movie or dancing in a prohibition bar, but either way we’re living for it.
Blake finished off the look with her blonde hair in a low, purposefully messy ponytail, peach-colored eyes, and a pink lip. She also went for the “more is more” aesthetic, thanks to her coral-colored earrings, plenty of colored rings, and metallic sandals.
We love the jewel tones mixed with the pastels, creating a colorful concoction of texture. This look isn’t tame by any means, but that’s why we love it! Taking style risks can be scary, but when they pay off, they feel really, really good.
We hope Blake felt as beautiful as we think she looks!
