Unless you’re living under a rock, you know that our lordess and savior Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z just released their first album together. The long-awaited collaboration, titled Everything Is Love, is a glorious gift to our ears, though admittedly it screwed with our plans to do absolutely nothing but binge-watch Queer Eye Season 2 this weekend. But not only did Mr. and Mrs. Carter give us an album (and a bonus track), they also released a music video to accompany the song “Apeshit.” Are you really surprised by this generous addition? We should know by now that Bey is a benevolent goddess.
While the track is already fire on its own, the Ricky Saiz-directed video features a smorgasbord of fashion moments, set in the Louvre of all places. (Only these two would be able to book the Louvre!) Remember how sick all those outfits from Lemonade were? These are just as good, so start planning your “Apeshit”-inspired couple costumes for Halloween.
Beyoncé enlisted her longtime stylist, Zerina Akers, to curate the looks, which range from candy-colored power suits to Burberry leggings and a matching bra, while the legendary June Ambrose was responsible for Jay-Z’s wardrobe.
Here, we break down the most fashionable moments in the video — though, honestly, the ENTIRE thing is a fashion moment.
The pink and turquoise power suits
Two words: Business Eleganté. Imagine walking into a business meeting and seeing these two do a Powerpoint presentation. YOU’RE HIRED! (Bey’s silk pantsuit is by Peter Pilotto.)
All white everything
Love the couture wedding vibes of this look. Beyoncé’s gown is a perfectly subtle homage to the statue behind her, the Winged Victory of Samothrace.
Jay’s looking dapper while Bey is a work of art in head-to-toe Versace. Obsessed.
Jay looks good, but that matching MCM hat, bodysuit, and trenchcoat on Bey? Killer.
Bey’s Burberry outfit
New fantasy: Beyoncé is our dance mom and we are all wearing Burberry-print spandex leggings to class.
Dat pearl mask
BRB, grabbing a hot glue gun to bedazzle our bandanas.
This avante-garde blanket dress
Can’t wait to see all the future Insta vids of people parodying this scene with their comforters. Particularly this move:
The nude bodysuit
This is just HOT.
The smiles of two people who know how much money they just made:
Bless. Thank you, Mom and Dad.
