Once again proving that fashion is cyclical, Bella Hadid wore a denim maxi dress that reminded us way too much of Little House on the Prairie — you know, the classic farm-life show that aired in the 1970s but was set 100 years earlier — albeit substantially sexier. (Yes, Bella managed to make head-to-denim look good, yet again, because she’s just that chic.)

Attending the New York launch party for Dior’s new Poison Girl fragrance this week, the young model and her brother, Anwar Hadid, made the rounds in style, with Bella rocking her denim Christian Dior dress complete with crystal-embellished straps spelling out the designer’s name.

We’ll happily admit that Bella, who is the face of Dior Beauty, somehow made this look werk, but come on — does she not give you major Laura Elizabeth Ingalls vibes in this frock?

Inspiration comes from all sources — clearly!

This isn’t Bella’s first foray into all-denim territory. The model has been spotted everywhere from Paris to the mean streets of New York rocking her haute luxe version of the Canadian tuxedo. It’s a look we’re seeing more and more this year!

Her Dior dress boasted another major 2017 trend, too: the bustier. The Victorian/early 2000s look (see — so cyclical!) is making a major comeback this year, with stars including Kristen Bell, Kirsten Dunst, and Kourtney Kardashian showing off the style.

While the bustier isn’t for everyone — it can definitely be uncomfortable if the top isn’t fitted properly — we’ve enjoyed seeing it crop up again on this year’s red carpets. Keep an eye out for the look at the Oscars later this month!
