She’s been called one of the worst-dressed on the red carpet for this look, but to HECK WITH THE HATERS because Nicole Kidman’s SAG Awards dress — featuring parrots on the shoulders — achieved new levels of fabulous and we are 100% obsessed.
Wearing a green Gucci gown covered top-to-bottom in sequins, Kidman — who was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role in Lion, in which she plays the adoptive mother to an Indian boy separated from his birth family — positively stunned at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Sunday night.
Accessorizing her glam, ruffle-skirted dress — designed by Gucci’s newest creative director, Alessandro Michele, who was appointed to his role in 2015 — with barely-there makeup, bejeweled drop earrings, a fistful of rings, and her hair tied in a low, elegant knot, she won our award for most adventurous — and most dazzling! — fashionista.
Check out her head-to-toe look and be wowed.
You’re applauding with us right now, aren’t you? We thought so. Now take a closer look at those incredible beaded parrot shoulders!
Get. It. Girl!
In a surprising style twist, Kidman wasn’t the only actress to rock a bird print at the SAG Awards last night. As Entertainment Tonight points out, Meryl Streep, Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez, and Westworld actress Thandie Newton all wore dresses with frocks featuring fine feathered friends.
If this becomes a 2017 fashion trend, we won’t be mad!
