HelloGiggles is looking for a rockstar junior/mid level PHP/Wordpress developer to join our fast-growing team. You will build features and tools to delight our community of millions of readers and thousands of contributors.
Ideal candidates possess a strong technical background, a commitment to building robust, scalable software, and the ability to play well with others in a fast-paced startup environment.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Compensation is competitive based on experience. Our office is located in a vibrant neighborhood in Downtown Los Angeles, surrounded by great restaurants and coffee shops, with ample parking and easy access to the Metro.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript + jQuery.
- Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions.
- Creation of custom post types, plugins, widgets, and functions.
- Theme / template development and integration.
- Creation of clean, logical, well-documented and re-usable code.
- Comfortable working with Git versioning.
- Have an eye for design and clean aesthetics.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving skills–adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.
- Be able to eagerly present ideas in a group setting.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Linux (centOS) and SSH.
