Ewan McGregor talked about getting over a feud with a friend, and we totally would do the same
When we learned Ewan McGregor was teaming up with director Danny Boyle for Trainspotting 2, we’ll admit, we screamed with excitement. But imagine our shock when we learned that before this film, Danny Boyle and Ewan McGregor were in a feud for over ten years! The two spoke about it on The Graham Norton Show, and we have to say, both handled the situation with immense grace. We’re so glad Trainspotting 2 gave these two a chance to make up!

Ewan, looking bashful, admits in front of Danny and the rest of the cast of Trainspotting 2:
"It was a misunderstanding and a mishandling of a situation. It's a big regret of mine that it went on for so long and a real shame we didn't work together all those years... I had been in Danny's first three films and then I wasn't asked to be in his fourth – The Beach – but it wasn't really about the film, it was about our friendship. Not being in the film made me a bit rudderless and I didn't quite get it. You can only fall out with someone you love."
You can only fall out of with someone you love. Wise words, Ewan. We could just watch you spouting your brilliance 24/7.
Both men now admit that they did not handle the situation well. Both were younger and dumber, and can now bury the hatchet. And thank goodness they did! Because Trainspotting 2 looks like a ton of fun, and all our old favorites have returned. The sequel will be released this March. Hopefully, the press tour will inspire even more friendship between this brilliant actor and director. And perhaps there will be future brilliant movies? A girl can dream.
