Eva Mendes letting her daughters give her a makeover is peak quarantine life

Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me? Believe it or not, it’s Eva Mendes. Mendes, like so many others, is feeling the strain of parenthood during quarantine, and so, she let her daughters give her a makeover. The final look is a little crazy, very colorful, and honestly, pretty editorial, in our opinion. Anna Wintour? Are you seeing this?

“They’ve won ❤️,” Mendes captioned her May 17th Instagram post.

Mendes and her partner, Ryan Gosling, are currently parenting their daughters, 5-year-old Esmeralda and 4-year-old Amada, in quarantine. As many other moms, dads, and guardians have done, they’ve attempted to make their days in isolation feel as normal as possible for their kids. Just recently, Mendes posted that she and Gosling tried to make Amada’s fourth birthday extra special so that she wouldn’t miss not being able to see her extended family.

Another great source of distraction for kids? Letting them dig into your makeup collection.

In fact, this is the second quarantine makeover Mendes has gotten from her daughters. Blue eyeshadow looks like it’s going to be a trend for summer 2020.

Mendes took the opportunity to share her daughters’ good work, and also to shout out a nonprofit, Dine 11 Los Angeles, which is raising money to help families in need during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Feeling helpless over here so when I find something run by good people that are really trying to help, I like to pass it on,” Mendes wrote on May 3rd.

Making a donation to a great cause and letting your little ones give you a fresh look are two great ways to pass the time during this period of social distancing. As long as a quarantine haircut isn’t in the cards, it’s all fun and games.
