Eva Amurri Martino had a lot to say to critics about her son’s head injury, and it’s so important

Recently, lifestyle blogger Eva Amurri Martino responded to criticism about her infant son’s head injury. The post is honestly loaded with genius parenting advice, but also just advice for what it means to be decent to parents whether you have kids or not.

ICYMI, Eva Amurri Martino (of the super famous Happily Eva After) dealt with the trauma of her son being injured when a caretaker accidentally dropped him. While many sent messages of love and support, unfortunately, not everyone did. Luckily, he appears to be alright now, and she made an important point about parenting, and how hard it is to get it “right.”

"Parenthood is not a competition. Nobody gets an award at the end of all of it for doing it the best or most perfect way. All that matters is how we make our children feel, how we feel about them, and how we feel about ourselves as parents."

"To those who have expressed judgement, cruelty, and criticism of me, my choices, or my fragility during this time- I'm not going to justify myself to you. But I sincerely wish that 2017 brings you enough self love and confidence that you no longer feel the need to tear down another person during their darkest moment. ❤🙏🏼✨ Peace, please."

This is truly such an important message, and we’re cheering her on. We hope everything is okay for her and her family, and send so much love.
