The love interest from “Passport to Paris” is all grown-up and totally your new internet crush

If you were growing up in the ’90s and early 2000s, there’s no doubt that you enjoyed your fair share of Mary-Kate and Ashley movies… at least a little bit. The Olsen twins pretty much lived our wildest tween dreams in their movies — they traveled the world, embarked on adventures while wearing the ~coolest~ outfits and meeting the hottest guys. They definitely lived pretty glamorous lives for being under the age of 16, and it seemed like a lot of fun. But let’s talk about the love interest from Passport to Paris, shall we?

Everyone has a favorite Olsen twins movie and one of mine is (and always will be!) Passport to Paris. This movie made me dream of jetting off to the City of Light, cruising around on a moped with a cute French boy (complete with a baguette in the basket!), while visiting the Eiffel Tower and getting into all kinds of Parisian shenanigans. I did get to go to Paris four years after the release of Passport to Paris, and was sad to learn that there weren’t any French boys on mopeds waiting to take me to the Louvre… but I can’t complain — I still had an amazing time nonetheless.

As was standard for all MKA movies, the ladies managed to find whirlwind romance very early on in their spring break trip with Jean and Michel, two flower delivery boys that they stumbled upon just before a visit to the Louvre, doing their due diligence as tourists.

So what happened to Michel, the dark-haired, sweet-talking boy who is rumored to have given Mary-Kate her very first kiss ever? Guys, his name is Ethan Peck, and his hotness has only multiplied in the years since he ditched his fake French accent.

Here’s Ethan in the movie — on the right. Aww.

And here he is now, all grown up.

When Ethan starred alongside Mary-Kate and Ashley, he had only been in a couple of roles, including a stint on That ’70s Show. After the film’s release, the Los Angeles native starred in a handful of feature films, including The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, In Time, and Tennessee. Fun fact? He attended the same grade school and college as his former costars — he attended the Campbell Hall School in North Hollywood until eighth grade (the Olsens graduated from high school there in 2004) and he attended New York University for three years before leaving to pursue his budding acting career. It’s not clear if Mary-Kate and Ashley knew him from school, but it’s pretty cool that they traveled in similar circles, even in college.

Another cool fact about Ethan is that his grandfather is Hollywood legend Gregory Peck, who is most known for playing Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird, but is also fondly remembered for his roles in classics like Roman Holiday and Cape Fear. Can’t you see the resemblance?

Ethan has also made his mark on the small screen and has had small roles in Gossip Girl and Madam Secretary. He also played the TV version of Heath Ledger’s character, Patrick Verona, in the TV adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You, which aired for one season on ABC Family back in 2009.

Now entering his thirties, Ethan is putting those model good looks to good use — he’s the newly-minted face of luxury brand Ferragamo. He’s also got a few film roles in the pipeline, having starred in the recently released horror films The Curse of Sleeping Beauty and Tell Me How I Die.

Of course, even though he’s now a total babe with a ~serious~ acting career, it’s comforting to know that we’ll always have Paris… non?
