This is the epic moment in Britney Spears’ career she surprisingly regrets
It’s officially the Year of Britney. The pop queen has been dropping hints about her new album since last November, and she FINALLY confirmed with E! News that we’ll probably be seeing it sometime this fall (and a new single, “Make Me” out next month!). Plus, Britney SLAYED at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, where she was presented with the Millennium Award. And if that wasn’t rad enough, Britney wins at Instagram basically on the daily, posting photos of her sons and empowering swimsuit selfies.
However, Brit recently admitted to having not-so-great moments in her life — one of which is her most formative, iconic performances (in our humble opinion). During an interview with E!, the pop singer expressed how crazy it was that she performed “I’m a Slave 4 U” on stage with an IRL python for the 2001 MTV VMAs.
“It’s insane! Why did I do that?” She said.
And when they asked if she would ever do it again, Britney replied “Hell, no! It’s so dumb. No! Never!”
We totally get it. Dancing with a gigantic snake onstage really seems like a once-in-a-lifetime experience — we wouldn’t wanna replicate the moment either. Semi-frightening, albino python or not, Britney has to admit that was an EPIC performance. Even though she thinks the ornamental snake was a bit much, her green outfit was TO DIE.
Let’s relive the moment, shall we? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
