Enter our #TalesFromABestie writing contest and win a very cool prize

In honor of the holiday season, we’re celebrating our closest friends and feeling super grateful for all the amazingness they bring to our lives. 

And we want to know all about your besties, too!

So we’re running a writing contest to coincide with our very first HelloGiggles book, A Tale Of Two Besties!

The book was written by our co-founder Sophia Rossi, it includes a forward by her real-life bestie Zooey Deschanel (and is loosely-based on their incredible friendship), but it was mainly inspired by all of you—the HelloGiggles community that we love and appreciate so much. It comes out in May 2015 and, before it does, we need your help. How? Here’s how.

• Write an essay or a piece of short fiction (750 to 2000 words) describing what your bestie means to you and send it to [email protected] by January 2, 2015. Your story should highlight why you admire your bestie, how she’s changed your life or an important moment/experience the two of you shared that helped you in a meaningful way.
• In early January, 5-10 finalists will be announced, and their work will all get published on the Tale of Two Besties page on HelloGiggles.
• The winner will be announced by the end of February 2015. The winning piece will be on the front page of HelloGiggles and the author will get a regular column on HelloGiggles.
• Read all the official rules here first (seriously do this) and…get writing!

Even if you’re not a writer, you can still join in on the bestie fun by sharing bestie-themed photos, songs, diary entries (or anything you love!) anywhere on social media with the hashtag #TalesFromABestie Starting in January, we’ll be regularly featuring your entries on the site and across our social media channels. We can’t wait to see your bestie stuff!
