The Empire State Building just did a jaw-dropping tribute to endangered species
Last night, the Empire State Building became a whole new kind of building as photos of endangered species were projected onto its sides. This one-of-a-kind light show was brought to us by the Discovery Channel to promote its new documentary Racing Extinction, which airs this December. The event, entitled “Projecting Change,” was designed to get the public talking about mass extinction.
One of the animals featured on the side of the Empire State Building last night was Cecil the Lion, whose senseless murder at the hands of poachers devastated the world this week. Cecil was joined by other big cats, birds, creatures of the sea, and many more endangered animals who face extinction unless we mobilize and do something about this impending tragedy.
