Emo Kylo Ren is the Twitter parody account of our dreams

As we were watching The Force Awakens, I think we all had the same thought “Kylo Ren is such a sadsack Vader fanboy with no friends (except Hux, yikes) and epic problems with his parents. Kylo Ren is, dare we say it, EMO?”

Comedy writer Alexandra Petri thought so too, which is why she went ahead and created “Emo Kylo Ren” the most hilarious thing to come out of Force Awakens and the Twitter parody account of our dreams (but there are for sure spoilers so TURN BACK NOW if you haven’t seen Force Awakens. Also… go see Force Awakens.)

Kylo’s bio? “Ren’s rights activists.” He only follows two handles (Darth Vader and Hot Topic, natch and more natch) though he is currently followed by 194K Twitter users because the people, they love their Star Wars emo jokes.

The account celebrates Kylo’s mopey fanboy-dom of Vader:

The one living human he can tolerate is his friend Hux:

He consistently uses the Force inappropriately:

His interests skew predictable:

And, just so you know, it’s not easy being named Kylo Ren:

He is the literal worst, which also makes him the straight up funniest. The Force is strong in his whiny navelgazing. Check out the A+ parody account over here.
