Why Emma Watson would make an AMAZING princess (though it’s probs not going to happen)
By now, you guys may have heard the rumor that Emma Watson is dating Prince Harry. According to Women’s Wear Daily Australia (OK, not the most reliable source), the two are “having secret dates with each other and are getting to know each other quite well.” The world, naturally, went crazy over the news.
Now comes the update: On Sunday, Emma actually took to Twitter to suggest that the rumor is just, well a rumor. “Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!” she wrote. She’s right, the world got a little, teeny bit carried away. And maybe so did our minds.
Even still, the silly, little rumor got us dreaming about what an increds princess Emma Watson would be. She’s already royalty to us, and here’s why:
1.) She’s smart as heck
Girl has studied at both Oxford and Brown, graduating last year from Brown with a degree in English Literature. Education for the win!
2.) She’d be a FEMINIST princess
We love Emma Watson as the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and for launching the HeForShe campaign and we’d love to see Watson bring her activism and passion for gender equality to Buckingham Palace.
3.)She’s getting some awesome princess practice playing Belle
After Watson rocks it as Belle in the live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast” she’s going to be all kinds of ready to play a real-life Disney princess.
4.) We swoon at her activism
Even though HeForShe has been Watson’s most publicized effort, she’s also worked her butt off to advocate for women’s education in developing nations and push for fair trade awareness.
5.) She’s magical
There’s a REASON she was cast as Hermione in Harry Potter. She’s MAGIC. There’s no way Emma Watson is a muggle, you will never, ever convince me she’s a normal, non-magical human like the rest of us.
