Emma Watson looks like a glamorous pirate at the Met Gala and this is our new favorite look

It’s a fact that Emma Watson can do whatever she wants (because as she’s doing whatever she wants she’s saving the world and other very important stuff). So if Emma Watson wants to grace the red carpet of the annual Met Gala channeling some sort of high-seas pirate, we’re going to let her do it. Because she’s Emma Watson.

Look at this beautiful young starlet/humanitarian/U.N. ambassador! It looks like she literally just stepped off of a wooden ship, but WE LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. The off the shoulder semi-asymmetrical shirt, that kinda doubles as a bodice. The fact that it’s two-piece. Her perfectly coiffed short brown hair, looking glam as ever. Now add in the long black train behind her, and this is our new favorite Emma Watson look.

The look also doesn’t stop there, because can you see that amazing belt-y thing she’s got around her hips? If she were really a pirate sailing through the Caribbean, that would be her utility belt full of golden doubloons. But she is not in the Caribbean, she is on the Met Gala red carpet, so that belt is probably full of poems about world peace, and/or her wand (probably not).

It’s also kinda hard to tell from the angle of all these pictures, but is she wearing pants — RIGHT?? Ms. Emma Watson wearing pants on the Met Gala red carpet, hereby stetting the bar pretty high for all pants from here on out.

Best of all? Her look is environmentally sustainable. According to The Telegraph, Watson had Calvin Klein design and make her a dress that is made from recycled plastic bottles. Amazing.

Everything about this is our new favorite. Watson’s look has officially commandeered our heart.
