Emma Watson is turning to the internet to help her find her “most meaningful and special possession”
While some might assume the internet is just a place to look at cat GIFs and watch Netflix, it also has some constructive uses. In fact, Emma Watson is turning to the internet after losing some rings, which she has described as her “most meaningful and special possessions.”
The 27-year-old actor, who recently starred in the live-action remake of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, took to Facebook to ask her fans if they could help her locate the rings, which were a gift from her mother.
Emma explained she had taken the rings off and locked them in a locker safe while she was at a spa in London, but unfortunately forgot them.
“On Sunday afternoon I went for a treatment at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Spa in Hyde Park, London. Before my appointment I removed 3 silver rings from my fingers and put them in the safe inside the locker. When I left, I forgot to take my rings from the safe,” she explained. “When I got home I realised the rings were not on my hands and I called the spa, but at this time the spa was closed. Security checked the safe and said there was nothing in it but that the spa would be open again in the morning and they could speak to them then and see if they had them or if anyone had handed them in.”
Continuing, Emma said that now the rings are missing.
"Were these just any rings I could accept this, but one of the them was a gift from my Mum," she added. "She bought it the day after I was born and wore it for 18 years, never taking it off, and then gave it to me for my 18th birthday. I wear this ring everyday, it is my most meaningful and special possession."
Watson then asked for anyone who may have been at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and seen or picked up the rings by accident to contact her, sharing an email address that they could reach her with. She also shared pictures of the rings.
Back in March, Emma Watson told BuzzFeed that one of the rings she wore in Beauty and the Beast was actually inspired by one of the pieces that her mom had given her.
“The costume designer saw that I had one which my mom had given to me, and she was like, ‘Can I design one for Belle?’ because Belle’s mother dies when she’s really young,” she revealed. “My mom is still alive and healthy and well, just as a side note. Anyway, I was really proud of the ring and thought it was so beautiful that I asked if I could keep one and they said I could.”
We know how upsetting it can be to lose something, especially when it holds sentimental value. We’re sending love and hope that Emma finds her rings.
