Emma Watson goes for the gold with a hair accessory styled after Greek goddesses’ crowns

When you get the opportunity to play a Disney princess in any capacity, you absolutely deserve to dress like a princess in real life. That’s just a fact. Emma Watson has played by this rule since stepping into the role of Belle in the live-action Beauty and the Beast. She’s flaunted many princess gowns during the film’s press tour. And last night, Watson went for the gold with a hair accessory that looks fit to be atop of a queen’s head during court.
Watson wore said hair accessory to the Los Angeles premiere of Beauty and the Beast. The gold adornment is styled after the crowns of Greek goddesses, wrapping around the back of Watson’s head.
The gold feather strands wove through Watson’s messy, boho braided updo —
— and makes its way to the other side of her head. The entire piece is truly stunning! Sorry, but you probably won’t find this thing at Claire’s.
The crown is made up of a headband and several separate bobby pins. Watson’s hairstylist, Adir Abergel, crafted the look with his A X L Metallic Quill Bobbi pins ($158 each) and his A X L Metallic Quill Halo ($688). Abergel created these handcrafted accessories with luxe hair accessory brand, Lelet NY.
Each piece is made with 18K gold plate, so yeah — definitely not a Claire’s find.
But, if you’re not in the mood to spend $150 on a single bobby pin, that’s really okay. You can easily recreate a similar look with pieces like these from Etsy ($9).
Even if you haven’t played a Disney princess on stage, film, or even for Halloween, you still deserve to dress like a princess. Grab some gold feather bobby pins and get your royal on!
