You can tell Emma Watson feels extra confident in this edgy ensemble

You’re going to flip when you see Emma Watson’s edgy take on airport style. The actress was spotted at LAX Tuesday — on her whirlwind Beauty and the Beast press tour — wearing a mini-skirt, combat boots, and a badass leather jacket. And oh yeah, she had some sunglasses casually perched on her forehead, too. It doesn’t get anymore DGAF than that.

The checkerboard skirt, by New York-based designer Edun, features a subtle metallic shimmer and body-con silhouette. Watson paired it with a white tee and looser crocheted crop top, and finished off the look with a moto jacket and Dr. Martens.

Altogether, Watson was the picture of confidence ahead of International Women’s Day.

Now that’s what outfit empowerment looks like!

Recently, Watson committed to using as many organic and environmentally-sound beauty products as possible, and to wearing clothing made by socially conscious designers. (And if you’ve been following her Beauty and the Beast press tour at all, you’ll know she launched an Instagram account called The Press Tour to document all of the sustainable and eco-friendly outfits she’s been wearing on the road.)

Her fierce AF Edun skirt fits right in with that mission. The brand was founded in 2005 by Ali Hewson and her husband, U2 singer Bono, and 95% of production on the brand’s garments is done on the African continent, primarily in the sub-Saharan region. The company’s goal is to promote trade on the continent and celebrate the talents of its citizens. Watson’s skirt, for example, was made by an artists’ collective in Burkino Faso from metallic Lurex fabric.

This sounds like a match made in heaven! Keep up the inspiring work, Emma.
