Emma Stone and Haim recreated this iconic Spice Girls video, and there’s so much to love

Emma Stone and the band Haim linked up to recreate the legendary Spice Girls’ video “Stop” and our first thoughts are: 1) it’s great, 2) it’s for a charitable cause, and 3) who knew Stone and Haim were BFFs? The ladies filmed the video on the Warner Bros. lot as a stand-in for the streets of London and recreated the 1997 choreography perfectly. The video is to raise awareness for Omaze‘s charitable contest that will send one winner to London to see the Spice World 2019 U.K. Tour with Stone and Haim and then meet the band backstage (talk about grand prize). A small monetary donation will get you in the raffle and on your way to seeing the Spice Girls with the Stone/Haim squad.

Seeing the show with Stone would be awesome for a number of reasons, but mostly because Stone is a certified Spice Girls stan. The ladies announced their reunion tour in November 2018 around the same time Stone was doing promo for her film The Favourite. During a stint on The Tonight Show, Stone jokingly told Jimmy Fallon that she changed her name from Emily to Emma “because of Baby Spice.”

"In the second grade, did I go up to the teacher and ask her to call me Emma? Yes, I did. Was it because of Emma Lee Bunton from the Spice Girls? Yes, it was," Stone joked.

Stone has seen the Spice Girls perform in the 1990s, in 2008, and now she and Haim (and maybe you!) will be seeing them later this year.

As for the Stone/Haim connection, we’re guessing they met through Taylor Swift? Swift and Haim have collaborated and even vacationed in Hawaii together; Stone has been in the Swift squad since day one, so it all checks out. Spice Girls reunion tour tickets are available on their website or you can enter the Omaze contest for a chance to roll up to the show with your VIP girl gang.
