Emma Stone’s sophisticated gown at the Governors Awards is classy AF
The stars arrived at the Governors Awards this weekend, where honorary Oscars were awarded to people such as Jackie Chan and acclaimed casting director Lynn Stalmaster. The awards honored a select few who have excelled in the business for over 50 years. But we need to pay an honorable award to Emma Stone’s gorgeous brocade gray and black dress, seeing as it got to have Emma Stone in it. Or is it the other way around?
Let’s take a second to really take in this high-class yet totally easy-going feminine look.
Emma wore her famously red tresses down and beachy to offset the more formal aspects of her dress.
The fit and flare of this gown is just too elegant. We love the pairing of a rosy lip and bold brow.
Emma flashed a little metallic detail as she walked on the red carpet, sporting some embellished shoulder straps that made blingy jewelry totally necessary.
And the shoes! The dainty velour ribbon and matching metallic detail is A+ (and the chic red pedi is major #toegoals).
Way to go Emma! What can we say? The lady can slay wintery metallics like a pro (is this dress shiny silver or matte black and white? Or a little of both? Ahhh!) and we are zero percent surprised. But is this sophisticated glamour enough to get Ryan Gosling to lift that restraining order? We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, catch the trailer to the highly anticipated (and Oscar hopeful!) movie La La Land here.
