Emma Stone looked like a goth-glam Marilyn Monroe at the “Mother!” premiere

Jennifer Lawrence’s latest film Mother! had its New York premiere last night, and while Lawrence truly looked like the belle of the ball, we can’t ignore her friend Emma Stone. Emma came out to support and was dripping in Old Hollywood glamour.

With her finger waves, pale complexion, black ensemble, and red lip, Stone looks like what would have happened if Marilyn Monroe dressed a little bit gothic.

Stone rarely attends events or premieres unless it’s her own or she’s contractually obligated to, so we find it incredibly endearing that she’d come out to support her friend.

We love this beauty look: a strong brow and upper lid eyeliner with just the right amount of highlighter so that her dewy and bright skin is the focus.

After the premiere, the two friends reunited at the after-party. Lawrence changed into a gold number for the occasion and together, the two of them looked like Hollywood royalty. In fact, they really are Hollywood royalty; which two young actresses have more awards, acclaim, and prestige than these two right now?

We’re glad everything is A-okay in the friendship because the two were the focus of a very weird hug that happened at the Toronto International Film Festival the other day. Basically, Lawrence went in for a hug, but Stone weirdly pulled away and well…yeah, it was awkward. You can watch it here.
