Emilia Clarke’s latest Instagram proves she’s the Unburnt IRL, too

Emilia Clarke is best known for her role on HBO’s Game of Thrones as everybody’s favorite (and as of now the only official) Targaryen, Daenerys. And while almost everything Daenerys does is amazing, one of her most impressive traits is the superhuman ability she has to not get burnt. Which incidentally allows her to do cool stuff like enter a fire pit with dragon eggs and walk out unscathed holding baby dragons. Or burn up a bunch of small-minded Khals who underestimate her power in order to gain control of the entire Dothraki army.

And from the looks of her latest Instagram post, she may be channeling some of the powers of her GoT character in real life.

Clarke is bravely holding a lit sparkler near her face, she doesn’t even look phased that the sparks are flying all over the place. In fact, her smile is just as warm as the fires her character can survive and her caption is aboslutely hilarious. She writes, “That moment when you GENUINELY LOOK LIKE YOU CREATED A SPARKLE. Or… That moment when the Brit thinks June 14th is July 4th.”

Clarke clearly sparkles off and onscreen and really doesn’t need to do any more to convince us she’s amazing. But the fact that she so flawlessly handles a bright sparkler can be another thing to add to the list of reasons we love her.
