Emilia Clarke has joined the Han Solo movie and we have a VERY GOOD feeling about this
OMG, you guuuuuuuys. Emilia Clarke has joined the Han Solo stand-alone film and we’re not sure if we can handle this insanely amazing news. Emilia, as you probably well know, slays as Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones. And now the Khaleesi of our hearts will meet Star Wars’ Han and Chewie on the big screen. CAN YOU HANDLE THIS!? Because we barely can.
Emilia joins Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover – who will play famous scoundrels Han Solo and Lando Calrissian, respectively – in what is sure to be THE most highly-anticipated film of 2018. Ugh, yeah we have to wait THAT long.
But we can’t wait to see who Emilia will play!
Emilia’s character has not been revealed, but Variety reports that she will indeed be the female lead in the film. Could she perhaps be an early love interest who’s NOT Princess Leia?!?! And if so, do we WANT to see that? Because in our minds it’s all about Han and Leia. SIGH.
The Han Solo movie has yet to reveal an official title, but of course, we know it will be a prequel, taking place prior to the events of Star Wars: A New Hope. It’s being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller of The Lego Movie fame.
2018 just got a whole lot better.
And we can’t wait to see Emilia kicking ass in a galaxy far, far away alongside Han, Chewie, and Lando.
